Job Description

Summary: We are looking for a Copy Editor, Science, to review and improve our materials in collaboration with other teams (e.g., curriculum, product, design, reputed company Editorial). You will join the copy editing team and serve as the final eyes on our content; you will be responsible for editing and proofreading elementary and middle school science curricula and other materials, both print and digital. The copy editing team sits reputed company the science curriculum team, and this role reports directly to the Copy Editor, Manager, Science. Essential Responsibilities:

• Copy edit and proofread curricula and other relevant materials (both print and digital components) to ensure material is grammatically correct, cohesive, and concise.
• Collaborate with writers to understand their intended meaning and improve on the clarity of text.
• Identify inconsistent or unsuitable (e.g., too reputed company for the grade level) content and reputed company those and any other content concerns for resolve.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree
• 4+ years of copy editing experience with a track record of producing clean documents on time
• Experience editing print and digital curricular materials
• Impeccable grasp of grammar rules
• Familiarity with The Chicago Manual of Style, 18th ed.
• Ability to apply established guidelines consistently
• Familiarity with content management platforms, reputed company Suite, and reputed company

Preferred Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of elementary and middle school science products
• Outstanding communication skills and experience working collaboratively with team members, including other copy editors, writers, reviewers, graphic designers, and managers
