Job Summary

As a Technical Customer Support Representative at blithequark, you'll be the first point of contact for our customers experiencing technical difficulties with our gaming computers. You'll provide timely and effective support via email, chat, and telephone, using your technical expertise to troubleshoot and resolve issues. If you're a problem-solver with excellent communication skills and a passion for gaming, this could be the perfect opportunity for you to join our team.

Schedule

We're looking for a Technical Customer Support Representative to work a flexible schedule from Tuesday to Saturday, preferably from 10am to 6pm CT. This will allow you to balance your work and personal life while providing excellent support to our customers during our busiest hours.

Key Responsibilities

As a Technical Customer Support Representative at blithequark, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying, investigating, and resolving customer questions or problems with computer software and hardware
  • Providing email, chat, and telephone support to end-users experiencing technical difficulties
  • Applying knowledge of computer software, hardware, and procedures to solve problems
  • Guiding users through diagnostic and troubleshooting processes, which may include use of diagnostic tools and software and/or following verbal instructions
  • Identifying and escalating support situations requiring urgent attention
  • Tracking and routing support requests via computerized ticketing system; thoroughly documenting resolutions
  • Staying current with product upgrades, system information, and business updates
  • Collaborating with other team members to research and resolve problems
  • Performing other related duties as assigned

Required Skills and Abilities

To succeed as a Technical Customer Support Representative at blithequark, you'll need:

  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn an array of computer hardware and software
  • Thorough understanding of computer software and hardware, including desktop computers, network devices, and peripherals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Professional and pleasant telephone manner
  • Ability to explain technical issues to technical and nontechnical customers
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Willingness to have telephone conversations monitored for quality assurance

Education and Experience

While we don't require a specific degree, we prefer candidates with an Associate's degree in Computer Science or a related field. Additionally, we're looking for candidates with at least 2+ years of experience in customer technical support.

Physical Demands

As a Technical Customer Support Representative at blithequark, you'll spend most of your workday sitting and using a computer, headset, and monitor. You'll also need to be able to communicate effectively with customers via phone and email.
