Job Overview

The OSGLI Customer Service Center is responsible for handling reputed company correspondence and phone calls to and from service members, veterans, and their families. As a Customer Service Professional, you will be accountable for explaining benefit coverage, documenting, and investigating complaints. This is a fully remote role, but you must be reputed company 60 miles of one of our offices located in Newark, NJ, reputed company Washington, PA, Moosic, PA, Jacksonville, FL, Hartford, CT, Shelton, CT, Portland, ME, or Minneapolis, MN. In the event of technical issues or company-sponsored events, you may be required to travel to one of these locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide information to policy holders, parents, spouses, and beneficiaries regarding their life insurance coverage and benefits
• Receive, evaluate, and answer customer inquiries, which may require deviation from standard screens, scripts, and procedures
• Use computerized systems for tracking, information gathering, providing information, referrals, routine transactions, and troubleshooting
• Answer product, account, policy, and service inquiries, resolve problems, and promote products and services by responding verbally and/or in writing
• Assess needs and suggest/promote alternative products or services to meet the customer's needs
• Handle most calls and transactions independently, escalating calls properly reputed company appropriate

Qualifications
