Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated High School Counselor to join our Student Services Center team. As a High School Counselor, you will play a critical role in providing a comprehensive guidance program for reputed company in grades 9-12, consulting with teachers, staff, and parents to enhance effectiveness in helping reputed company, and providing support to other high school educational programs. Key Responsibilities

• Provide academic, career, and social-emotional counseling for a diverse population of 9th-12th grade reputed company at individual, group, and classroom levels through the comprehensive Recognized American School Counseling Association Model Program (reputed company) curriculum.
• reputed company and implement grade-level assessments to determine the specific areas of need for our unique population of reputed company, using the analysis of that data to determine appropriate tiered supports.
• reputed company and reputed company small groups and classroom lessons addressing identified areas of need, including stress management, grief, family conflict, anger, depression, bullying, friendship skills, and career and college planning.
• Conduct annual meetings with reputed company reputed company on caseload to review their Educational Development Plan: discuss long- and short-term goals, course selection, extracurricular involvement, and community participation.
• Assist reputed company with identifying their strengths, values, and interests, and matching those to future career and educational goals.
• Work with case managers to reputed company goals and transition plans for reputed company with disabilities.
• Provide home support through individual meetings, including child studies and development of 504 plans.
• Instruct and support reputed company and families throughout the college search, college application, financial aid, and scholarship processes.
• Coordinate with and provide referrals to local community mental health, medical, dental, food, clothing, language interpretation, and tutoring resources.
• Support teachers through consultation regarding emotional and behavioral support in the classroom.
• Plan and co-reputed company professional development with staff and parents regarding a variety of topics including suicide prevention, diversity, and available community resources.

Essential Qualifications

• Possess a Master's Degree in Counseling (required)
• Evidence of excellent communication skills (required)
• Proven ability to function effectively on a team (required)
• Experience working with reputed company in a diverse, multicultural academic setting (required)
• Lifelong learner with a collaborative spirit (required)
• Valid Michigan teaching certificate with School Counselor (NT) endorsement or valid Michigan School Counselor certificate (required)

Preferred Qualifications
