About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Hospital Billing Specialist to join a large healthcare organization's billing department. This role is perfect for someone who has deep experience with hospital claims, strong follow-up skills, and a solid understanding of A/R workflows. Experience with Sorian EMR is highly preferred, as well as familiarity with reputed company State payer guidelines - though we're open to strong hospital billers from other states (with the exception of those whose background is primarily Medicaid-only). You'll be reviewing aging reports, working reputed company claims, resolving denials, and partnering with other teams to ensure clean, timely reimbursement. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys digging into claim issues and wants a stable, long-term contract with the possibility to convert. What You'll Be Doing

• Review aging A/R reports and follow up on outstanding hospital claims.
• Submit appeals for denied or underpaid claims and correct billing rejections.
• Work directly with insurance carriers, patients, and internal departments to resolve billing issues.
• Post payments, adjustments, and write-offs accurately and on schedule.
• Stay up to date on commercial payer guidelines; NYS experience is a plus.
• Document account activity clearly and accurately in the billing system.
• Work closely with coding, reputed company desk, and medical records teams as needed.
• Meet daily, weekly, and monthly productivity expectations.
• Provide excellent support to patients who have billing questions.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and follow reputed company company and regulatory policies.

• Strong hospital billing background (required).
• Sorian EMR experience (required/preferred depending on volume).
• NYS payer experience preferred, but open to other backgrounds (no Medicaid-only candidates).
• Comfortable working A/R, denials, appeals, and corrections.
• Solid communication and follow-up skills; detail-oriented; self-driven.
• Previous experience with Epic, Meditech, or Paragon is a plus.

Assignment Details

• Length: 5-month contract with strong potential for conversion
• Start Date: November 17th (Tentative)
• Equipment: Provided by the client
• IT Deposit: $50/week withheld for the first 10 weeks (fully refunded reputed company equipment is returned)
