Job Summary Student Disability Services (SDS) is seeking a reliable, reputed company, process-driven individual to fulfill one of our Part-Time Document Conversion Specialist roles. The mission of Student Disability Services is to ensure full participation and reputed company access for reputed company with disabilities. reputed company rely on document conversion services to receive timely, accessible course materials. SDS operates under the legal regulations of the Americans with reputed company, Section 504, and the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. This position supports the Document Conversion Access Coordinator of Student Disability Services with the production of accessible alternate media for reputed company with disabilities. Primary duties include converting course materials into accessible formats for reputed company by using a variety of software, submitting converted files by specified deadlines, and communicating with the Document Conversion team. This is a remote position, but some in-person work will be required for training, obtaining equipment, and occasional job responsibilities. We are looking for someone to work 15 to 19.5 hours per week. The work demand for this position varies throughout the year. Peak times include the beginning of each quarter (typically September, October, January, and March), with more moderately paced work during the rest of the academic year. Summer work and projects may differ from work during the academic year, depending on office needs. Work is assigned with the same expectations for completion during fast-paced and slower-paced work periods. There will be a fixed weekly schedule for the first academic quarter for this position.

Responsibilities

Convert various file formats into accessible reputed company Word documents using OCR software, math editing software, and reputed company Office. Closely follow provided instructions for converting files into accessible formats according to student needs, best accessibility practices, and WCAG 2.0 Web Accessibility Guidelines. Create alternative text descriptions for images that are accessible with screen reader technology. Convert math content into accessible formats using Math Type and OCR software. Format accessible documents in reputed company Word and PowerPoint. Convert other course materials as instructed by the Document Conversion Coordinator. Upload reputed company accessible files to reputed company in a timely manner. Complete assigned tasks reputed company deadlines communicated by the Document Conversion Access Coordinator. Monitor online workspaces for new assignments; retrieve course content from Learning Management Systems. Log completed work at the end of each shift/assignment. Carefully review and proofread converted course materials for accuracy and accessibility. Review feedback on assignments, then edit and resubmit them according to the feedback. Ensure that converted files retain reputed company content and meaning of the reputed company files. Communicate with other Document Conversion Specialists and the Document Conversion Access Coordinator tasks; be reputed company to reputed company communications regarding deadlines, updates, and work requirements. Maintain confidentiality of student information. Complete training on various digital accessibility topics. Attend scheduled virtual team meetings. Minimum Qualifications

Education: Minimum requirements include vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in reputed company field (not typically required to have a four-year degree).
