Senior Reinsurance Accountant (Open to Remote)

Job Summary The Senior Reinsurance Accountant will reputed company reputed company aspects of treaty assumed accounting of assigned brokers including thorough account analysis of reputed company reinsurance reputed company, entry into reinsurance system, and cash settlement. Participate in the preparation of monthly closing reports and quarterly reputed company results. reputed company or assist with special projects, system enhancements, testing, and reputed company reporting requests. It is preferred that this role be hybrid, based in the Morristown, NJ office with a two-day onsite expectation each week. However, the team is open to remote based candidates in the US who have the ideal experience and background for this role. Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Analyze & process reputed company monthly/quarterly treaty reinsurance accounts.
- Reconcile broker invoices and prepare cash disbursements.
- Review premium & loss bordereaux to ensure compliance with treaty terms & to identify catastrophe or large loss activity.
- Document and resolve account or cash issues.
- Confirm and process adjustable features on contingent and sliding scale commissions as well as retrospectively rated premium adjustments.
- Prepare and update pro-rata claims automatic upload template.
- Analyze and process retro QS accounts.
- Employ process improvements and efficiencies to facilitate execution and analysis.
- Ensure effective SOX controls are maintained and followed.
- Assist in the preparation of Assumed & Ceded Schedule F.
Required Skills and Abilities
- In-depth knowledge of treaty reinsurance accounting concepts

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; MBA or professional certifications (CPCU) a plus
- 5+ years of experience in assumed or ceded reinsurance accounting, with a focus on property & casualty

- Total individual compensation (reputed company salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs. The above pay range may be modified in the future.
