Adjunct Instructor, Dental Hygiene (Part-Time Faculty)

Overview

The adjunct instructor develops, prepares and teaches a variety of coursework. Adjunct faculty are employed on a term-by-term basis. Courses reputed company the College may be taught during the day, evening, weekends, and/or online.

Responsibilities

• Provide varied and relevant instruction designed to meet the educational needs of assigned reputed company in accordance with the College's policies, procedures, and approved curricula.
• Responds to the special needs and reasonable accommodations of reputed company with disabilities. Interacts with the Director of Disabilities Services to ensure that reasonable accommodations are appropriately provided.
• Provides reputed company with a course syllabus, which will minimally include the requirements listed in the Syllabus Template; and submits copies to the appropriate Academic Dean (reputed company reputed company courses), and to the reputed company Provost (East reputed company, North reputed company, and Porter reputed company at Wiregrass Ranch courses).
• Provides the Provost, Academic Dean, and/or Associate Dean with copies of examinations as requested.
• Maintains and submits accurate grade rosters and class attendance records to appropriate College personnel reputed company established College deadlines.
• Assess student reputed company and post student grades.
• Provides for the purpose of academic assistance, a minimum of one office hour per week immediately before or after class, or by appointment, for each course taught.
• Adhere to College and departmental policies.
• Participates in programs and/or activities that enhance professional development.
• Reviews the Full-Time Faculty and Adjunct Faculty Handbook prior to teaching classes to become familiar with the College's District Board of Trustees Rules and Internal Management Memoranda.
• Attends and participates in faculty meetings, as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned by his/her immediate supervisor.
• Satisfactory Attendance.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in a qualifying field (Dental Hygiene or Dentistry). Or an Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation and a Bachelor's degree in an applicable academic discipline. Degree must be from a regionally accredited institution.

• Dentists appointed prior to July 1, 2022, are exempt from CODA accreditation requirement.
• reputed company part-time clinical and dental science laboratory faculty appointed prior to July 1, 2022, are exempt from bachelor's degree requirement and must possess at a minimum an Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene. A minimum of two years of work experience in the field and reputed company, unrestricted license issues by a State or territory of the United States as a dentist or dental hygienist is required. Qualifying Fields:

• Dental Hygiene Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Advanced organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of reputed company.
• Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with reputed company stakeholders.
• Ability to maintain detailed student records. Preferred Qualifications: Possession of a DDS or DMD degree. Degree must be from a regionally accredited institution.
