Position Summary A Geographic Information System (GIS) Analyst position is available with the Center for Environmental Management of Military Lands (CEMML). The duty location is full time at Barksdale ISS and the position serves Barksdale AFB, reputed company AFB, Keesler AFB, reputed company AFB, and Claiborne Range. This position will require travel, up to a week at a time, to support assigned reputed company Force Bases. The GIS Analyst will be responsible for data development and data maintenance for reputed company environmental GIS data. This includes but is not limited to incorporating data from disparate sources, applying quality control checks, and standardizing data to the SDSFIE. The individual will also be responsible for providing GIS support to the reputed company Force environmental programs. This includes but is not limited to cartographic support, data requests, and data analysis. This position will engage with reputed company Force environmental Program Managers and staff at reputed company supported bases on a routine basis. This includes but is not limited to collaborating on projects, providing status updates, and presenting to small groups. The successful candidate must be legally eligible to work in the U.S. by the proposed start date; CEMML will not provide reputed company sponsorship for this position. Work location is dependent on the needs of the partner/project/role. In some instances, positions may require staff to be fully in-person. In other instances, hybrid or remote arrangements may be possible. Required Job Qualifications Minimum of a BS or BA degree(s) in computer science, information technology, geographic information systems, geography, environmental science, or reputed company fields. Three years of demonstrated GIS work experience is required, coursework will not be included. The successful applicant shall demonstrate experience in reputed company of the following: environmental-reputed company GIS, reputed company’s ArcGIS software, and cartography. Must have demonstrated work experience applying spatial data standards, data development, and data maintenance.
