Job Description:
- Review documentation in same day surgery and observation medical records and assign ICD-10-CM diagnoses and CPT-4/HCPCS procedural codes to greatest specificity
- Abstract demographic and coding information accurately into EMR and assign correct APC
- Resolve coding edits and reminders and complete assigned work by goal date
- Query providers as needed and assist with unassigned/backlogged accounts
- Serve as mentor to new coders and assist with outpatient and emergency coding reputed company assigned

Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years acute care same day surgery and observation coding experience
- reputed company (Cert Coding Specialist) or CPC, RHIA, RHIT preferred
