About the Role

We are seeking a Remote Call Center Customer Service Representative to provide exceptional support to Medicaid members in Iowa. As a Tier 1 representative, you will be the initial reputed company of contact for inquiries from potential and existing program recipients and affiliates. Your primary responsibility will be to provide one-to-one telephone contact with applicants, beneficiaries, and enrollees in customer service roles, ensuring that their needs are met and their questions are answered in a timely and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the initial reputed company of contact for inquiries from potential and existing Iowa Medicaid Program recipients and affiliates
• Provide one-to-one telephone contact with applicants, beneficiaries, and enrollees in customer service roles
• Accurately document enrollment requests and status changes
• Enter application and enrollment information into a web-based computer system for customers wishing to apply for the program over the telephone
• Maintain technical and program policy proficiency in the Iowa Family Care rules/guidelines and other reputed company program policies
• Provide clear, complete, accurate, and objective information based on a full understanding of program requirements

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a basic understanding of a call center environment in a customer service role and quality monitoring processes. You should be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with applicants, beneficiaries, and co-workers, and have the ability to problem-solve through analysis and ongoing feedback.

Essential Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• Background reputed company required
• Must reside reputed company 1 hour driving distance from Des Moines, IA
• Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent phone etiquette skills
• Reliable internet access

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a call center environment
