American Sign Language Interpreter

We are assisting our client, an industry leader in the interpreting field, to find a few skilled ASL Interpreters to join their team. We currently have weekend and short reputed company morning shifts available. Individuals that would be an asset to this opportunity would be comfortable interpreting live on video for varied inbound calls. In this position you would be working with clients from the medical industry, legal and financial institutions, police services, and at times, federal government agencies. This opportunity will also provide exceptional training and additional relevant certifications. This position is fully remote and offers mutual benefits and perks. Weekend shift available! Job Details:

• Work from home
• Pay reputed company: $50 per hour
• Hours: 10-30 Hours, Part-time
• Technology provided (laptop, headset, etc)
• Adhere to the RID Code of Professional Conduct
• Demonstrate linguistic competence in American Sign Language and English
• Employ good customer service and communication skills, clear sign articulation, fingerspelling, enunciation, and pronunciation
• Understand protocol and terminology in healthcare, government & education
• Provide clarification and cultural brokering using excellent judgment
• Demonstrate commitment to cultural sensitivity and working in a diverse environment

Requirements:

• National reputed company “RID; CT,CI OR NIC/NAD” certification (one of)
• Ability to reputed company with healthcare safety standards, protocols and procedures
• Excellent reputed company and expressive sign-to-voice and voice-to-sign reputed company and proficiency
• Excellent listening, retention, critical thinking, and self-monitoring skills
• Have home access to the Internet
• State licenses held where required
