About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to join our team in Dallas, USA. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for managing our Exadata/Exacc database platform, ensuring the integrity and security of our data, and providing technical support to our users. Key Responsibilities

Manage and maintain the Exadata/Exacc database platform, ensuring optimal performance and security Develop and implement database design, architecture, and configuration, including backup and recovery procedures Establish and maintain database security procedures, ensuring compliance with industry best practices Provide technical support to user groups, including incident and problem management Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of database systems with other applications and infrastructure Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to continuously improve our database systems and processes Participate in backup audits, ensuring all data and information is preserved and easily recoverable Develop and implement migration/upgrade strategies for new Oracle releases and development patches Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members, sharing knowledge and expertise to promote a culture of learning and development Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field Proven experience as an Oracle Database Administrator, with in-depth knowledge of Oracle databases and related technologies Hands-on experience with Exadata/Exacc, Oracle Cloud solutions, and Linux operating systems Strong understanding of database design, architecture, and configuration, including backup and recovery procedures Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Oracle Certified Database Specialist certification Architectural knowledge of data protection, data compliance, and risk management Proven experience in project management, working with international teams Experience in planning, designing, and developing information technology policies, procedures, and practices Ability to propose solutions to resolve compliance issues and follow agreed standards and tools to achieve effective results Understanding of CI/CD and DevOps, with experience in coaching and mentoring peers What We Offer In return for your skills and experience, we offer a competitive salary, ranging from $20 to $30 per hour, depending on experience.
