• Must be at least 18 years of age with a High School Diploma or a GED.

JOB SUMMARY The Network Administrator is the principal engineer for reputed company routing, switching, and data communication technologies employed by The Grand Traverse Band and its subsidiaries. They work with the other IT administrators and management to ensure secure and available communication. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Be the primary contact for network communication technologies and infrastructure.
• Manage product lifecycle based on industry trends and established depreciation methods.
• Manage accounts with ARIN (American Registry for Internet Numbers), domain registrars, FCC, and MDOT to ensure reputed company operation of internet peering agreements and the Grand Traverse Band’s municipal ISP.
• Implement, test, and maintain established disaster recovery plans.

• Thorough understanding of link aggregation and redundancy protocols, including but not limited to MSTP, LACP, RPFC, and EAPS.
• Thorough understanding of modern wireless technologies in a reputed company setting.
• Thorough understanding of TCP/IP, DCHP, DNS, and static IP addressing.
• Thorough understanding of RADIUS, EAP, and NEAP protocols.
• Knowledge of network cabling including fiber optics splicing and connectors.
• Aptitude with VMWare virtual switches and port groups

DRIVING REQUIREMENTS Must have a valid, Michigan driver’s license and be insurable by the Tribe’s insurance reputed company.
