The Office of Research Administration (ORA) has a great job opportunity for a reputed company & Grants Analyst 1 to work at the reputed company. CORE JOB SUMMARY The reputed company and Grants Analyst 1 (Medicare Billing Coding & Financial) works independently to review internally and externally sponsored clinical research, including agreements and proposals, as required for development of Medicare Coverage Analysis (MCA), facilitating research billing, financial compliance and proper reimbursement, as well as to process basic budgets and budgetary amendments in adherence to sponsoring entity, federal, state and reputed company requirements. Under general supervision, the reputed company and Grants Analyst 1 is responsible for providing institutional-level sponsored research administration services to academic departments and research units of the University. CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
- Determines applicability and develops Medicare Coverage Analyses (MCAs) for reputed company applicable studies that are compliant, consistent with University policies and state and federal regulations to protect University resources and foster fiscally sound budgets and research billing compliance.
- Assists, as needed, with development and amendments of basic budgets for straight-reputed company externally funded clinical research in efficient and effective manner consistent with UM policies and procedures, applicable extramural entities guidelines, laws and regulations.
- Collaborates with various University and external research entities such as Principal Investigators and study teams, Compliance Office, IRB (Human Subject Research Office), Risk Management, Jackson Health System Clinical Trials Office (JHS CTO) and other relevant offices to ensure that sponsored research projects are managed in a compliant, efficient and effective manner, consistent with UM policies and procedures and applicable extramural entities guidelines, laws and regulations.
- Provides advice to faculty and staff regarding sponsored research administration functions and compliant research billing.
- Maintains operations consistency and transparency, and provides data on a work reputed company to appropriate Office of Research Administration (ORA) leadership, and academic departments’ research administration on an ongoing basis.
- Collaborates with others at ORA to ensure consistent, smooth and efficient processes for various pre and post-award activities reputed company to research projects carried out by the University.
- Keeps reputed company on relevant professional information by attending professional development opportunities and trainings and proactively monitoring publications and updates from relevant agencies.
- Assists ORA leadership with special projects as needed.
- Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent undergraduate degree in relevant field is strongly preferred. Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in Research administration, department research support, healthcare reputed company cycle or operations support, research site, sponsor/CRO; ideally in an academic setting. Appropriate combination of relevant education and/or experience may be considered. Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology, healthcare billing and reimbursement principles, Federal, State, Medicare and other applicable government regulations pertaining to clinical research and investigational drug/device development process strongly preferred.
- Ability to work independently, exercising independent judgment and professionalism, as well as collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with outstanding customer service skills.
- Demonstrated collaboration and compassion traits, professional experience and judgment to effectively serve faculty and other stakeholders while protecting, representing and advancing the University's best interests.
- Ability to work well under deadlines pressure without sacrificing accuracy, quality, customer service, collegiality or ethics.
- Knowledge of appropriate University and collaborating entities research systems
- Strong analytic and information research skills, ability to process reputed company information fast and accurate, proactive approach to expansion of professional knowledge and skills.
