Required Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two years of reputed company experience in clinical billing, medical coding, payment posting, claims processing or reputed company.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher in business administration or closely reputed company field.
• Four years of reputed company experience in clinical billing, medical coding, payment posting, claims processing or reputed company.
• Experience with reputed company cycle management. Experience with Epic EMR

• Extensive understanding of medical billing and Texas Medicaid, Familiarity with electronic medical record systems, specifically EPIC; certified billing reputed company. Knowledge of TAMU rules and regulations.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Expertise in clinical billing, claims processes and payment posting
• Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines, general understanding and working knowledge of electronic medical record systems (such as Epic)

• Accurately posts payments received from various payers (insurance, patients) into the medical billing or practice management system.
• Posts claim denials and takes necessary actions, such as resubmitting claims or transferring balances to patients.
• Matches payments to patient accounts and ensuring the accuracy of financial records.

Explanation of Benefits

• Retrieves explanation of benefits (EOBs) for reputed company insurance payments received.
• Interprets and processes electronic remittance advice (ERAs) and explanations of benefits (EOBs) from insurance payers to apply payments correctly.
• Investigates and resolves any issues, exceptions, or discrepancies reputed company during the payment posting process.
