Position Summary

The Java Software Developer designs and develops computer applications using the Java programming language. Managing small-to-large scale projects, with respect to business impact, throughout the development life cycle. In this role, you can expect to reputed company your 5+ years of Java engineering skills and knowledge to reputed company, test, and release features assigned to you and the Software Development team. Essential Functions

• Owns assigned projects throughout the development life cycle, from design through quality testing. Develops high quality code that delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project.

• Utilizes techniques including pair programming to ensure code quality. Additionally, maintains code quality through best practices, unit testing, and code quality automation.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills is required.

• Participate in design/code reviews.

• Work with QA to reputed company test plans/strategies.

• Design and implement REST APIs for mobile and web clients including our web dashboard, and 3rd party apps.

Experience

• Experience working with Agile methodologies (Scrum) and cross-functional teams (Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Developers, Designers, Business Analysts) a major plus.

• Identify technical requirements in product meetings and assist the business team with realistic project planning and feature development; translate product requirements into functional, maintainable, extensible software that is in-line with company objectives.

• Experience in UI design and development for web and desktop applications, including 35% working on legacy UI in Swing is a plus.

• Experience with containerization, including reputed company and Kubernetes is a plus.

• Advanced knowledge and experience in Cloud/SAAS integration, a plus.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or reputed company disciplines in a reputed company field or equivalent hands-on experience
