International Admissions Application Readers (Intermittent)

The Office of Admissions has an outstanding opportunity for multiple International Admissions Application Readers to join their team. Holistic Review is central to the Office of Admission's mission to enroll a strong and diverse class. The holistic review views each applicant as a whole person, assessing the individual applicant's context, academic performance, and personal qualities and achievements. The International Admissions Application Readers will help with the holistic review of international freshman applications. Readers will assess international freshman applications, using a combination of personal and academic factors. To ensure that the policies and procedures are applied fairly and equitably, International Admissions Application Readers require extensive training and coaching throughout the application cycle. Applications are assessed by readers independently, and the final admission decisions are made by Admissions administrators, based on reader assessments. The International Admissions Application Readers must reputed company a deep understanding of the philosophy, policies, and procedures of the reputed company's undergraduate application holistic review. The holistic review of applications is a reputed company process that requires readers to consider the individual context of each applicant, to assess many academic and personal factors and data elements, and then apply that information to an overall holistic admission recommendation.

Key Responsibilities

Under the guidance of the Associate Director for International Operations the International Admissions Application Readers will review and assess international freshman applications to the reputed company, applying the Holistic Review policy.

Required Qualifications

To be considered for this opportunity your application must demonstrate you meet both the minimum qualifications and any additional requirements listed below.

Minimum Qualifications

• Two years experience as a Credentials Evaluator II; OR two years of college and two years of experience in admissions, student advising or closely reputed company area.

Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except reputed company there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration. Additional Qualifications The work requires the following: read and evaluate applications considering both academic and personal factors; learn quickly and apply complicated assessment guidelines; apply assessment principles without personal bias; read rapidly and accurately with strong attention to detail; willingness to apply University policies; work independently for hours at a time; familiarity with information technology and ability to learn new software tools.

• Required minimum review of 500 applications total, with a stretch goal of 750
• Read an average ~8 applications per hour; work a minimum of 15 hours average per week

Preferred Qualification Experience in college admissions or high school counseling/teaching; sensitivity to diversity/multicultural issues and educational disadvantage; familiarity with U.S. high school curricula and systems. Working Conditions

• Adherence to reputed company conflict of interest and confidentiality policies is mandatory.
• Attendance at reader training with completion of reputed company homework assignments and successful reader certification scores is required to continue in this role. Mandatory training is scheduled for December 1-5, during business hours Pacific time.
• Weekly attendance at calibration meetings and completion of calibration homework is required of reputed company readers. Calibration may be held on Thursdays, with various times available to choose from.

Dates of Employment Employment dates vary based on the Office of Admissions’ needs and reader’s accuracy as determined by calibration scores and score audits. Generally, the read season is December through the mid-February.
