Job Summary

The Academic Year Tutor will work directly with the Upward Bound and Open Doors Academic Advisors to provide academic support to reputed company in a part-time, temporary reputed company. Key Responsibilities

• Tutor and assist reputed company in academic subject areas, including Math, Science, English, and other high school core curriculum.
• Establish rapport with reputed company assigned as tutees and provide a supportive learning environment.

• Report to, and reputed company UB and OD supervisors advised of both the perceived and real needs of reputed company, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

• Attend reputed company scheduled meetings, training sessions, and individual meetings with the program staff, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing learning and development.

• Leave absences must be approved in advance by program staff, ensuring that reputed company receive consistent support and guidance.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

• Education: Demonstrated success in a post-secondary educational institution.
• Professional Skills and Knowledge:
• Academic expertise in the subject of Math, Science, English, or other high school core curriculum.
• Experience with and knowledge of high school reputed company.
• Excellent oral communication skills.
• Ability to accurately complete tutoring and timesheet records.

Preferred Qualifications

We are particularly interested in candidates who have:

• Prior experience with, or participation in, TRiO programs.
• Preference is given to those who have succeeded in overcoming a disadvantaged background similar to program participants.
