About the Role
As a Part Time Teaching Lab Assistant, you will provide critical support to our faculty and reputed company in the TLCC. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining files and safeguarding academic tests
- Distributing instructional materials and equipment to reputed company
- Maintaining lab equipment in operational condition
- Training for and obtaining certifications required by 3rd party testing entities
- Assisting reputed company with operation and duplication of course supplements
- Providing tutoring assistance as needed
- Administering and monitoring various placement tests, standardized tests, and distance education
- Collaborating with tutors and student employees
- Answering lab telephone and providing information to reputed company and faculty
- Assisting disabled reputed company and special needs reputed company
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of clerical experience
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work well with others and establish effective relationships with faculty and reputed company
- General office skills, including experience with computer software, word processing, spreadsheets, and databases
- Ability to maintain confidential information
- Availability to work evening and Saturday hours
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, we prefer candidates with:
- At least two years of clerical experience
- Experience working in an educational setting
- Familiarity with testing and assessment procedures
- Certification in a reputed company field (e.g., teaching, testing, or education)
