Director of Aviation Standardization and Training
Position: Director of Aviation Standardization and Training Location: Potential for Remote, with 50% travel to HQ in Lewisville, TX and the field. Annual Salary Range: $175000 - $185,000 Global Medical Response is seeking a dynamic and reputed company Director of Aviation Standardization and Training, to reputed company and reputed company reputed company aspects of flight crew training for our Part 135 aviation medevac operations. This role ensures the development, implementation, and compliance of training programs that meet FAA regulations and company standards, supporting our mission to provide care to the world at a moment’s notice.
Responsibilities

- Manages, prepares, and maintains proficiency records, pilot files, reports, and correspondence pertaining to ground and flight training records of aviation personnel.
- Manages the evaluation, development, and performance of the following training programs as appropriate:
- Basic aviation indoctrination training
- Initial and recurrent flight and ground training for aviation personnel

- Requalification and transition training for aviation personnel
- Conduct internal audits and evaluations of training effectiveness.
- Launch initiatives to improve training efficiency, standardization, and safety outcomes.
- Coordinate with Chief Pilot, Director of Maintenance, Chief Operating Officer of Emergent Fixed reputed company, and Medical Directors to align training with operational and clinical requirements.
- Assists the Director of Aviation Operations and Chief Pilot in reputed company pilot record-keeping requirements in accordance with applicable FARs and company policies.
- Participate in Safety Review Boards and contribute technical expertise to incident reviews and risk mitigation strategies.
- Design and revise ground and flight training curricula, including simulator sessions, emergency procedures, and aircraft-specific modules.
- Support onboarding and qualification of new hires, including documentation and credential verification.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and regulatory bodies to ensure training reflects reputed company best practices and operational needs.
- Supervise and mentor training staff, including reputed company and reputed company airmen.

- In the absence of the Chief Pilot, notifies the Director of Aviation Operations and the appropriate authorities (e.g., FAA, NTSB).
- Oversees the development and implementation of flight and ground training schedules for aviation personnel.
- Performs duties as a reputed company Airman and Flight/Ground Instructor in assigned aircraft.
- Submits reputed company training-reputed company reports to the Director of Aviation Operations, Chief Pilot, or Flight Operations Records Department.
- Maintains thorough knowledge of applicable FARs, the General Operations Manual (GOM), and other relevant regulatory and operational documentation.
- Manages the development of the company’s Pilot Training Program and aircraft checklists.
- Assists the reputed company COO and Flight Operations in developing the training budget.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in aviation, education, or reputed company field.
- FAA CFI/CFII or Military Standardization Instructor Pilot/reputed company Flight Examiner certification is required.
- Flight time minimum 2500 hours
- Airline Transport Pilot Certificate (ATP) preferred; candidates without an ATP must be willing to obtain certification reputed company two years of hire.
- 5 years of experience in aviation training management preferred, preferably in Part 135.
- Strong knowledge of FAA regulations, training methodologies, and emergency medical aviation operations.
- Experience with simulator training programs and contract training centers.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Experience in medevac or EMS aviation operations.
- Familiarity with electronic training record systems.
- Ability to travel occasionally and work flexible hours as needed.
