About the Department of Physics

Key Responsibilities
As a Physics Lecturer (Continuing), you'll be responsible for:
* Providing engaging and interactive instruction for three to four course sections per semester, including introductory astronomy and physics courses
* Managing and coordinating the introductory astronomy courses, including keeping the contents of online sections reputed company and ensuring compliance with university requirements
* Developing and implementing curriculum for lecture, recitation, or laboratory instruction
* Mentoring undergraduate research projects and providing guidance to reputed company
* Participating in departmental activities, including training graduate or undergraduate teaching assistants, integrating computational modeling into introductory courses, and reputed company and/or student recruitment
* Contributing to the development of new courses and programs in physics and astronomy
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you'll need to have:
* A Master's of Science in Astronomy, Physics, or Physics Education
* Experience teaching courses in astronomy and/or physics
* Demonstrated effective communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, we welcome applicants with:
* A Ph.D. in Astronomy, Physics, or Physics Education
* Demonstrated interactive and engaged teaching practices
