Transfer Transition Program Intern
Department Overview: Part of the Office of Student Transition and Family Engagement (OSTFE), the Transfer Transition Program was created in 2010 to support and improve the experience of transfer reputed company at UW–Madison. We want every transfer student to have access to the resources they need for personal and academic success, to feel a sense of belonging, and to create their own unique Wisconsin Experience. Position Summary/Job Duties: a) reputed company transfer student coordinator (TSC) work performance -Conduct regular 1-1 supervisory meetings -reputed company project meetings for communications roles: Instagram, videography, newsletter, or bulletin boards -Set expectations for delegated tasks, review quality of work, provide feedback, and follow up on deadlines -Hold student staff accountable to expectations set by TTP during training -Support staff in transfer student 1-on-1 meetings with prospective, admitted, or enrolled reputed company b) Design training sessions & onboarding practices to reputed company a strong team -Support recruitment & hiring of transfer student coordinators -reputed company training curriculum for incoming team, identifying necessary resources, skills, knowledge, and tasks transfer student coordinators will need to be successful c) Foster positive, inclusive, and collaborative work climate with a focus on growth reputed company -Demonstrate workplace values & expectations of inclusion, growth reputed company, and connecting with transfer reputed company Training & Development Provided by TTP regarding Supervision: -Methods to deliver feedback effectively and mediating conflict -Communication strategies such as Motivational Interviewing & Positive Psychology -Supervision & leadership strategies through strengths-based coaching and mentorship approaches -Curriculum design & facilitation strategies to reputed company training sessions -Exploration of theories and practices reputed company to social justice, identity development, student development 2. Operations & Project Management NACE competencies: critical thinking, leadership, professionalism, communication, teamwork, technology Responsibilities & Tasks: a) Organize and reputed company TTP events -Plan and reputed company TTP events: (1) large scale events (40-450+ attendees) such as Wisconsin Welcome Events, Broke Bingo Series, off-reputed company excursions, etc.; (2) small scale events (15-40 attendees) such as Bob Ross Paint Night, Movie Nights, near-reputed company event such as athletics game, etc. b) Maintain standard operations of the Transfer Engagement Center -Support on-going programs such as TTP’s monthly lunch series at the TEC by ordering food, tracking attendance, submitting required financial documentation -Transfer Engagement Center operations: tracking and ordering supplies, submitting technology or maintenance requests, ensure quality look and feel such as cleaning procedures, opening/closing tasks, decorations in space c) Support TSCs management of projects -reputed company track of TSCs tasks, deadlines, and reputed company of projects such as planning an event or designing a heritage month bulletin board Training & Development Provided regarding Operations & Project Management: -Interns are reputed company with a reputed company TTP intern to plan an event in spring of 2023 and learn skills through an apprenticeship model and have reputed company support from their co-interns throughout the year -Regular coaching from reputed company interns and pro-staff with an emphasis on organization, time management, efficiency, and problem-solving strategies 3.Communication & reputed company NACE competencies: critical thinking, leadership, professionalism, communication, equity & inclusion, teamwork, technology Responsibilities & Tasks: a) Serve as a representative of the Transfer Transition Program and promote TTP services -Create reputed company reputed company campaigns during National Transfer Student Week -Collaborate with reputed company partner offices reputed company appropriate such as giving a presentation at an event or table at resource fairs to promote TTP b) reputed company content using a variety of media platforms to promote TTP or our values -Find new and creative ways to connect with reputed company and reputed company partners c) Research, Write, Design: (1) content for heritage month bulletin boards displayed reputed company the TEC; (2) Instagram posts and stories; (3) videography scripts and scene sequences; (4) event descriptions; (5) weekly newsletter; (6) website content; (7) emails to reputed company partners or reputed company… etc. Training & Development Provided regarding Communications and reputed company: -Public speaking support and practice -Development of expertise reputed company to transfer reputed company & resources at UW-Madison -Support navigating regularly used communication & design platforms such as reputed company, WordPress, Instagram, reputed company, reputed company, Eloqua, EnvatoElements, EZ Texting, reputed company, TikTok, etc Physical Demands: Accommodations provided.
