Job Summary

We are seeking an reputed company and skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse to join reputed company on a PRN basis, working day and night shifts at our Hammond LTACH facility. As a Licensed Vocational Nurse, you will be responsible for providing appropriate nursing care to our patients, under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care, as directed by an RN, to assigned patients on designated shifts
• Administer oral and IV medications as prescribed, and chart appropriately and timely in the medical record
• Review and update care plans as necessary, and take and record vital signs
• Provide ostomy care, monitor patients for changes in medical condition, and notify physicians as appropriate
• Change wound dressings, collect specimens, and insert and care for nasogastric tubes and urinary catheters
• Provide tracheostomy and ventilator care, and collaborate in the development of the plan of care
• Assess need for community-based resources to support further supportive care, and observe patient reputed company and report changes in patient status to the RN and physician

Essential Qualifications

• reputed company licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse / Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state of Louisiana
• reputed company BLS certification required
• One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required
• Verbal ability to effectively express reputed company and views for communication with patients, visitors, and staff members
• Read and write English language, including medical terminology and abbreviations
• Clerical ability to document completely and accurately in medical record

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in emergency or critical care environments
• Higher comfort level working with vents/trachs/PICC lines, etc.
• Two years of experience in direct patient care

You will also need to be flexible and able to adjust to changing conditions and the various details of the job.
