Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing excellent customer service by explaining policy coverage, claim status, and assisting with claim payments or other policy information to policyholders and/or interested third parties.
  • Handling a high volume of phone calls, emails, and correspondence from policyholders, providers, and interested third parties.
  • Processing policyholder requests and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Reviewing and maintaining new and revised procedures regarding policy information.
  • Managing your time effectively to meet department standards for number of calls, average handle time, and productivity.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion.
  • Utilizing your excellent communication, written and oral, and organization skills to effectively interact with policyholders and internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrating mathematical abilities and accuracy in handling policy information.
  • Working in a fast-paced environment and handling high-stress situations calmly and with tact and professionalism.
  • Analyzing situations and making logical conclusions to resolve policyholder issues.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful as a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will need:

Essential Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
  • At least one year of office experience preferred; telecommunications experience a plus.
  • Life and Health insurance background and knowledge of insurance operations desired.
  • Excellent customer service background and good phone skills.
  • Excellent communication, both written and oral, and organization skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Excellent alpha and number recognition skills.
  • Demonstrated mathematical abilities.
  • Basic PC skills and ability to learn new software applications.
  • Ability to handle high-stress situations calmly and with tact and professionalism.
  • Strong decision-making skills with the ability to analyze situations and reputed company logical conclusions.
  • Reliable and predictable attendance required.
  • Must be able to type at least 30WPM.

Preferred Qualifications:
