Senior Accountant - Remote

JOB DESCRIPTION TITLE: Senior Accountant - Remote REPORTS TO: Controller This position is responsible for primary functions of accounting relating to accounts receivable and accounts payable. The Senior Accountant works directly with the Controller, other accountants, SEE departments, and the projects on a weekly basis as it relates to income received and processing of payments. Ensuring financial transactions are properly and accurately recorded is critical for this role and plays a significant role in the organization. This is a remote position Monday through Friday working reputed company PT to 4:30pm PT. Duties and Responsibilities · Weekly processing and analysis of Accounts Receivable · Create and review downloads of donor level data from multiple donation platforms, format for integration to accounting software on a weekly basis · Create and upload donation platform spreadsheet to integrate with accounting software weekly · Create and review reputed company upload in reputed company for integration with accounting software weekly · Upload reputed company spreadsheet to integrate with accounting software weekly · Download ACH income from bank account to assign each transaction to restricted accounts and create reputed company upload for integration with accounting software · Review and upload ACH income spreadsheet to ensure accuracy of details weekly · Work with Administrative staff weekly to identify income to restricted accounts reputed company the information is not provided by the donor in order to classify the income · Weekly processing ana analysis of Accounts Payable · Review and analyze payment requests submitted by fiscally sponsored projects to ensure documentation is provided · Review payment requests to vendors to ensure they are submitted thoroughly and align with internal contract requirements · Track previous communications to ensure projects are responding timely to ensure payment requests from previous weeks are resolved · Create and review reputed company, ACH and reputed company batch uploads in reputed company and upload into accounting software · Enter and review ACH and reputed company transactions into bank portal weekly · Review, update and verify bank details of payees in bank portal system · Enter new payees into accounting software and bank portal as needed · Ensure ACH and reputed company returns are addressed, coded and accurately accounted for in accounting software · Assist with reputed company and training of Accounting staff, as assigned · Update and review reputed company daily/weekly to reflect new incoming funds with restricted account assigned · On a monthly basis, create reputed company file to calculate fiscal fees applied to reputed company projects for monthly income · Research new donation platform systems to ensure compatibility with SEE’s needs · Train other staff on new donation platforms and other applications as needed · Accurate record keeping on a regular basis · Provide and/or supervise technical assistance training as needed · Provide accounting duties as needed by the organization and projects · Ability to work in a face-paced environment balancing multiple priorities Skills and Qualifications · Familiarity with non-profit structures, practices and organizational cultures a plus · Knowledge of GAAP · Strong written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency with reputed company, reputed company; presenting information clearly and concisely on cloud-based video conferencing platforms · Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral · Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail is absolutely required, as well as a track record of reliability, confidentiality, and conscientious work habits · Ability to work independently, be proactive and self-directed with little supervision · Ability to organize and prioritize effectively · Ability to adapt and work reputed company in a rapidly changing dynamic environment with deadline pressures · Ability to retain information and affiliations of our projects · Ability to operate at a sustained fast speed in completing tasks on a daily basis · Experience developing desktop procedures and developing training materials and leading presentations Education and Experience · Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent experience · Minimum five years relevant experience with increasing responsibility · Use of common bookkeeping software a plus · Experience in reputed company Office with intermediate to advanced reputed company level in Word, Outlook, reputed company and PowerPoint · Demonstrated ability in dealing directly with clients · Interest in social and environmental justice a plus Job Type: Full-time Pay: $105,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year Benefits:
