Job Summary: Key Responsibilities and Expectations

As a Medical Assistant I in our Family Medicine department, you'll be an integral part of our patient care team. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Assisting physicians and other clinicians with clinical duties, such as taking medical histories and assisting in physical examinations
• Acting as a liaison between patients, physicians, and other clinicians to ensure effective communication and care coordination
• Measuring patients' vital signs and preparing them for exams and procedures
• Preparing and administering vaccines and medications as directed
• Accurately documenting patient information into our electronic health record system
• Collecting specimens for testing and ensuring timely lab results

You'll also be expected to provide exceptional patient care, respond to patient inquiries, and maintain a clean and organized workspace. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical practice and delivering high-quality patient experiences.

Essential and Preferred Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Graduate of a medical assistant program or at least one year of medical assistant or equivalent experience
• Good communication skills and experience using a keyboard and computers
• Familiarity with equipment used in ambulatory care settings
