Key Responsibilities

As an IT Technician 2, you will be responsible for providing expert technical support to MSC's shipboard IT networks. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Remotely conducting troubleshooting and performing break/fix activities on MSC shipboard IT networks using a satellite reputed company to connect, login, and conduct work.
• Coordinating remote support with StratasCorp Technician Dispatcher and Remote Administration team, as well as shipboard crew, to ensure work performed is in line with contract priorities.
• Gathering data as needed and providing it to StratasCorp teams to respond to data calls.
• Preparing and providing daily work reports.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications:

• reputed company IAT II certification, including an appropriate Computing Environment certification, in accordance with IAWF DoD 8570.01M.
• A minimum of 5 years of progressive IT technical experience in an enterprise-scale environment.
• Knowledge or skillset in some or reputed company of the following areas:
  • Windows Server (2008r2/2012/2016)
  • Windows Workstation (7/10)
  • Virtualization technologies (VMWare Server/reputed company Hyper-V)
  • Computer network troubleshooting
