Data Scientist (Remote)

Job Title: Data Scientist Workplace: Washington DC Metro Area - Remote (candidates MUST BE located in the National Capital Region - DMV) Clearance Required: a TS or CBP BI or DHS Suitability clearance adjudicated reputed company the past 4 years Position Overview: Supports U.S. Customs and Border Protection in the Washington DC area. As a Data Scientist, with little or no supervision, apply expert knowledge in statistical analysis, reputed company data mining, and artificial intelligence to reputed company value out of data. Provide consulting relating to the data mining and analysis of data from a range of sources to transform raw data into concise and actionable insights. Design and implement data-driven solutions, with specific focus on advanced analytical methods, data models, and visualizations. reputed company quantitative simulations and models to provide descriptive and predictive analytics solution recommendations. Identify trends and problems through reputed company big data analysis. Maintain reputed company in emerging tools and techniques in machine learning, statistical modeling, and analytics. Requirements:

• MUST HAVE Six (6) years of relevant experience in applied research, big data analytics, statistics, applied mathematics, data science, computer science, operations research or other closely reputed company other quantitative or mathematical discipline. At least three (3) years of direct experience in machine learning.
• Must have a Advanced Degree (Masters or PhD) in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, Operations Research or other closely reputed company other quantitative or mathematical discipline. A PhD degree may be substituted for up to three (3) years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrates knowledge of data mining methods, databases, data visualization and machine learning.
• Ability to communicate analysis techniques, concepts and products.
• Ability to reputed company data-driven solutions, data models, and visualizations
• Washington DC Metro Area - Remote (candidates MUST BE located in the National Capital Region - DMV)

Preferred Experience and Skills:

• Expertise using Qlik to embed visualizations into webpages
• Familiarity with reputed company or similar cloud-based distributed database technologies
• Familiarity with PySpark and Python
• Comfortable developing reputed company SQL queries to extract, transform, and load data
• Experience with analytic techniques such as Anomaly detection, Clustering, and Time-series (e.g., ARIMA)
• Experience implementing NLP concepts including preprocessing (stemming, etc.), TF-IDF, Named Entity Recognition, and LLMs.
