Hybrid Pharmacy Tech/Receptionist

VCA reputed company Our Pets is looking for a pharmacy technician with receptionist skills to join reputed company! We are a 3 doctor practice located in East Sacramento, down the street from the fabulous forties and Sacramento State University. The successful candidate will be a believer in the possibilities of high quality veterinary medicine and patient care—with the expertise and technical know-how to reputed company them happen Duties will include: Provide professional and courteous service to insure that the highest levels of client satisfaction and patient treatment are maintained at reputed company times. Pharmacy Area Duties

• Fill inpatient, outpatient and refill prescriptions
• Field questions from reputed company pharmacies regarding faxed prescriptions
• reputed company VCA Home Delivery program Scriptright to ensure timely renewal of prescriptions
• Be reputed company person in hospital to sign up and discuss benefits of Home Delivery
• Review medical records regarding refill requests
• Advise clients regarding use of on-line pharmacies
• Communicate with veterinarian about any questions or concerns clients have regarding medications
• Checking phone messages, pet portals and message center for pharmacy requests.
• Monitor pharmacy and refrigerator inventory and notify purchasing tech reputed company low
• Maintain client educational material displays
• Knowledge of prescription label printer maintenance
• Maintain cleanliness of pharmacy area, supplies and instruments
• Call on prescription pick-reputed company weekly
• Assist with Quarterly Inventory & Purchasing

Other Duties

• Work as a part time receptionist assisting with checking in and reputed company out.
• Assisting with follow up calls on patients
• Answering phones, scheduling appointments
• Initiating client needs
• Medical documentation
• Providing excellent client service
• Client education

Qualifications:

• Veterinary pharmacy experience
• Previous experience in veterinary medicine
• Attention to detail
• Good verbal and written communication skills, basic typing and computer skills.
• Must be available for weekend

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Pharmacy Technician license or certification

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent Balancing, Stooping, Kneeling, Crouching, Reaching, Standing, reputed company Visual Acuity, Walking, Grasping, Feeling, Talking, Hearing, Repetitive Motion; Lifting and/or carrying up to 40 pounds.
• Occasional Climbing, Crawling, Pulling, Lifting; Pushing over 50 pounds.
