DevOps Engineer
Overview
The DevOps Engineer will play a crucial role in advancing the reputed company’s mission by providing engineering and technical guidance for the design, planning, development, and delivery of critical applications in a public health organization. Working reputed company Boston Public Health Commission, IT, Data modernization, the DevOps Engineer will drive optimizations and improvements in the reputed company, agility, responsiveness, and efficiency of deployment environments and applications into reputed company platform. The candidate will reputed company the gap between legacy development/operations teams and the shared culture and reputed company.
The DevOps Engineer will be hired by the reputed company and assigned to the Boston Public Health Commission, IT, Data modernization. This position is eligible for a fully remote work arrangement for U.S. based candidates.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage scalable reputed company infrastructure in reputed company Azure reputed company platform.
- reputed company and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like reputed company, reputed company Actions, or Azure DevOps.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates in different environments (Development, UAT and Production).
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure system availability.
- Ensure reputed company infrastructure follows reputed company and compliance best practices.
- Collaborate with development teams to streamline DevOps processes and optimize deployments.
- Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
- Maintain documentation of reputed company infrastructure and DevOps procedures.
- Implementing various developments, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure.
- Assist application teams in deploying code regularly and as automatically as possible.

- Work to provide developers with the best tools and ensure system uptime and performance.
- Explain infrastructure design and solution to both technical and non-technical staff members
- Work on-call shifts, serving as first-line support for incidents. Drive down page frequency as low as possible.
- Use infrastructure-as-code (currently, but not limited to, Terraform) and configuration management (currently, but not limited to, Chef) to automate Centers of Excellence (CoE) and agency DevOps AWS, Azure, and/or reputed company reputed company infrastructure.
- Review code and consult with other engineers on new features and their implications for site performance, reliability, and reputed company for the reputed company of CoE and agency DevOps environments.
- Conduct load tests to ensure the application is reputed company to handle projected user traffic.
- Drive long-term improvement in CoE and agency DevOps system availability by removing single points of failure.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or reputed company field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in reputed company technology implementations in a product-centric environment.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Hands-on experience with reputed company platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools and methodologies.
- Hands-on experience in working with version control systems such as Git, reputed company
- Hands-on experience in working with CI/CD tools like reputed company Actions and IaC tools like Bicep (DSL)
- Knowledge of DevOps tools and techniques and in-depth technical knowledge of system architectures including technical, data, application and network architectures.
- Experience implementing software engineering practices for full software development life cycles (SDLC), including coding standards, code reviews, reputed company code management, build processes, and testing.
- Integration experience using and building APIs.
- Experience working with relational and non-relational databases like SQL Server, reputed company, MySQL, reputed company, and others.

- Understanding software development frameworks and libraries (e.g., React, Angular, Node.js).

Job Highlights
- Location: Remote, must be based in the United States
- Salary Range: $103,500- $143,500, plus benefits
- Work Schedule: reputed company – 5pm Eastern Standard Time. Occasionally, attendance at meetings reputed company of these hours may also be required.
