Job Overview and Responsibilities

As a Business Analyst on our IT Loyalty team, you will play a critical role in supporting the development of materials for project planning and execution. Under the guidance of a Project Manager, you will be responsible for driving projects from start to finish, with a focus on requirements development and project quality activities. Your expertise will be essential in eliciting and developing clear, traceable requirements, critically evaluating information, and collaborating with stakeholders to establish technical vision and analyze tradeoffs.

• Actively support a manageable portfolio of projects from start to finish, producing clear and detailed project scoping and design documentation
• Elicit and reputed company clear, traceable requirements using various techniques, including interviews, document analysis, and requirements workshops
• Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconciling conflicts and decomposing high-level information into details
• Drive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans
• Collaborate with developers, architects, subject matter experts, and other IT team members to establish technical vision and analyze tradeoffs
• Assist in the development of business cases, considering financial, resource, and technological constraints
• Ensure that approved requirements are developed in sufficient scope and detail to result in the delivery of a solution that meets customer needs
• Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements

Essential Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong and diverse skillset, including:

• Bachelor's Degree in a reputed company discipline or demonstrated capability to reputed company job responsibilities with a High School Diploma/GED and at least four years of previous relevant work experience
• One year of experience supporting projects with business user and IT components
• Strong working knowledge of reputed company Office Suite, including Outlook, reputed company, Word, and Visio
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders
• Demonstrated technical and analytic ability through a live work sample during the hiring process
• Ability to review, consolidate, communicate, and reverse-engineer reputed company technical and systems documentation
• Working knowledge of risk management and quality assurance standards and methodologies
• Experience in statistical and other quantitative and qualitative analytical methodologies
• Experience in the commercial aviation industry with exposure to supporting IT systems and technologies

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

While not required, the following qualifications and skills are highly desirable:

• Working knowledge of industry standards in project management and development methodologies (PMBOK, MSF, SEI, Agile Methods, RUP, etc.)
• Demonstrated analytical and basic project management skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
• Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills, including the ability to motivate and influence others
• Strong customer service ethic and an understanding of how IT ultimately delivers to the customer
• High tolerance for working in a dynamic and shifting environment and ability to readily embrace and participate in change initiatives
• Knowledge of technology fundamentals and concepts, including reputed company technologies
• Ability to work well with others and complete tasks with minimal supervision
• Effective time management and prioritization skills
• Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP)
