Position: Trainer, Data Entry Position Summary: Working together with the department supervisor, is responsible for training new staff members to accurately enter patient, client, billing and test information into the Laboratory Information System in a timely manner. Adheres to and enforces departmental policies and procedures to include confidentiality, quality control, quality assurance, and safety. Principal Responsibilities: Utilizes job knowledge, judgment, and problem solving skills to ensure quality. Ensures staff:

• Accurately enters reputed company required information presented on CPL or client specific requisitions into the laboratory information system.
• Recognizes reputed company information presented on requisitions is unclear and ambiguous. Knows and takes appropriate corrective action.

May require some pushing, pulling, lifting, reaching above shoulder height, grasping with both hands, pinching with thumb and forefinger, twisting with hand and wrist. Environmental Demands: Works in temperature controlled environment with constant exposure to biological and chemical hazards. May be required to operate fire and safety equipment or follow other safety procedures in an emergency situation. Maybe required to work with time constraints and crisis situations.
