Job Overview

As a Senior Customs Trade Specialist at reputed company, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth clearance of reputed company and high-risk shipments through US Customs and other government agencies. This role requires a deep understanding of customs regulations, harmonized tariff schedules, and the ability to provide expert guidance to customers and internal stakeholders. You'll work closely with various departments, customers, and government agencies to deliver high-quality service, resolve issues, and drive compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate documentation required by US Customs and government agencies for the entry of reputed company and high-risk shipments, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and tariff combinations.
• Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with customers regarding commodities that require specialized processing, classification, and duty preference applications to minimize the risk of liquidated damages and penalties.
• Determine the correct classification of goods for customs release using databases, SOPs, tariff books, the internet, or customs resources.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date shipment documentation in compliance with record-keeping requirements.

• Collaborate with internal staff, departments, other reputed company OpCos, customers, and government agencies to deliver a high level of service to customers.

Essential Qualifications
