Job Responsibilities
As a Data Scientist – reputed company, you will be responsible for producing high-quality, actionable insights from real-world data to support biopharmaceutical companies and medical trials. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and executing advanced data analysis and statistical modeling techniques to identify new insights and trends in patient populations and treatment outcomes
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and execute studies, including data collection, analysis, and interpretation
- Developing and maintaining data pipelines and infrastructure to support data analysis and visualization
- Building and maintaining dashboards, analytics, and reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Conducting due diligence on new real-world data companies and evaluating the quality of RWD to inform investment decisions
- Ensuring high-quality, rigorous, and easily interpretable deliverables from reputed company research and analyses
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or graduate degree in a quantitative or computational field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, computer science, engineering)
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a quantitative or computational role, with a strong background in data analysis, machine learning, and statistical modeling
- Proficiency in R, Python, or SQL programming languages
- Experience designing and executing strong and reproducible statistical analyses in the context of epidemiology and observational studies with healthcare data
- Knowledge of common statistical testing methods, including generalized linear models, classification and discrimination, decision trees, unsupervised learning, time series analysis, and survival analysis
- Experience processing large datasets from diverse data sources
- Experience working with covered patient health data
Preferred Qualifications
* Ph.D. or Master's degree in a field reputed company to data science, statistics, computer science, or mathematics
- Expertise in EMR/Health IT, disease registries, and claims databases
- Knowledge of medical data standards, clinical terminologies, and managed vocabularies used in healthcare data and ontologies (ICD9/10/ReadCode)
- Experience in Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and/or regulatory compliance guidelines for real-world evidence research or clinical trials (e.g., ISO, MDD/MDR, CFR)
- Experience working with alternative data sources and alternative methods of collecting medical data, particularly those enabled by technology systems and/or solutions
- Experience with experimental design, Bayesian modeling, sequential data, and computational statistics
- Understanding of data and systems learning techniques, ability to maintain self-learning of technical and non-technical skills
