About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for working closely with engineers, product management, and other stakeholders to create high-quality technical documentation for our Cloud Database service. You will plan, design, write, and publish technical documentation that guides customers through critical journeys, concepts, and guidelines for doing business with our Cloud Database service.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, design, write, and publish technical documentation for the Cloud Database service, including critical customer journeys, concepts, and guidelines for how customers do business.
• Work closely with PMS, engineers, UX researchers, and UI partners to identify critical user journeys and create information architectures that help customers along these journeys.
• Collaborate with Cloud Database authors to continually improve practices and deliver an excellent customer experience.
• Collaborate with cross-functional colleagues to drive and prioritize technical writing.
• Mentor and support other authors on the Cloud Databases team.

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• A Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 2 years of technical writing experience.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly preferred:

• Experience with databases, SQL, NoSQL, and cloud products.
• Experience in a reputed company role, creating technical documentation for a technical audience, preferably for enterprise cloud services.
• HTML or Markdown skills; Unix environment skills.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, support multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven communication and team skills and strong initiative.
