Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA.
• *Work Schedule: Per diem, as needed.** • *Benefits:Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Casual, PRN & Part Time employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours are eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan only. For more detailed information, please click here (https://careers.labcorp.com/global/en/us-rewards-and-wellness).** • *Job Responsibilities** + Transcribe gross and microscopic descriptions on surgical pathology cases comprised of moderately difficult medical terminology. + Accurate and timely data entry of dictated and/or handwritten pathology cases into the laboratory information system + Provides complete and accurate resolution to all user inquiries or redirects inquirer to appropriate resource(s) in a timely manner + Identifies problems, determines and provides/implements appropriate corrective action/accurate solutions + Researches, troubleshoots and follows-up to ensure all inquiries/problems are resolved in a timely manner
- *Requirements:**
+ Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent + Previous Pathology transcription experienced a plus + Experience with transcriptionist software is preferred + Excellent data entry and typing skills + Strong communication skills; both written and verbal + High level of attention to details + Proficient in Microsoft Office
