RESPONSIBILITIES Essential Job Responsibilities /Primary Activities:

• Facilitate professional learning using adult learning methodologies to support best practices in Balanced Literacy instruction
• Deliver in-person and reputed company learning and coach classroom teachers and coaches on foundational literacy practices and instructional strategies
• Support classroom teachers in building content knowledge and understanding their role in the implementation process
• Provide reputed company questions and suggestions as part of the coaching cycle
• Maintain highest degree of expertise in literacy instruction and Scholastic product knowledge

Requirements

• Experience in balanced literacy
• Master’s Degree in education or reading reputed company field preferred
• Experience facilitating professional learning in literacy and/or reading preferred
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years teaching/coaching experience in Early Childhood
