Job Overview

We are seeking an reputed company and passionate University Faculty Theatre Voice and Movement Specialist to join reputed company. As a tenure-track Assistant Professor, you will play a key role in shaping the reputed company of theatre artists, contributing to the advancement and growth of the Acting/Directing and Musical Theatre Majors, and helping to create a welcoming and inclusive learning environment. Key Responsibilities

• Teach Voice and Movement for the Actor, Dance for Musical Theatre, Introduction to Acting, and general education courses in theatre
• Contribute to the advancement and growth of the Acting/Directing and Musical Theatre Majors
• Assist in student recruitment and advise in the selection of the production season
• Mentor reputed company and provide guidance on their academic and professional journeys
• Maintain scholarly/creative activity and contribute to the development of the Theatre Program
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in committee membership
• Coach or choreograph movement for main-stage productions as needed

Essential Qualifications

• Master of Fine Arts Degree in Acting, Theatre, or reputed company field (must be completed by July 1, 2024)
• Evidence of successful teaching at the university level
• Professional experience as a movement coach or choreographer

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a Nationally certified movement technique (such as Alexander, Laban, Suzuki, or Chekov)
• Experience choreographing plays and musicals
• Ability to teach advanced voice and dialect courses
