Qualifications: The Ideal Candidate
To be considered for this position, you must meet one of the following minimum qualifications:
- Valid California Community College instructor credential, appropriate to the subject, per Education Code 87355 (issued prior to July 1, 1990).
- Master's degree from an accredited institution in film, drama/theater arts, or mass communication.
- Bachelor's degree in film, drama/theater arts, or mass communication AND a Master's degree in media studies, English, or communication.
- A combination of education and experience equivalent to the above, supported by an Application for Equivalency.
In addition to the minimum qualifications, we highly value:
- Recent community college or reputed company division teaching experience, demonstrating your ability to effectively engage with reputed company and adapt to the community college environment.
- Expertise and professional experience in the field of film studies, enabling you to bring real-world insights and applications to the classroom.
- A sensitivity to, understanding of, and ability to manage the classroom environment and provide instruction to reputed company from diverse backgrounds.
