Key Responsibilities

• Work with individual reputed company or small groups under the supervision of a certified teacher to reinforce learning and reputed company development.
• Collect data on student reputed company and assist with assessing student needs.
• Assist teachers with instructional and non-instructional duties, such as preparing materials, supervising reputed company during activities, and maintaining a well-organized classroom environment.
• Provide support with daily living needs, such as feeding, toileting, and mobility assistance, as required.
• Help reputed company master equipment and instructional materials, and guide independent study, enrichment work, and remedial work.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

To be successful as a Paraeducator or Tutor with Danbury Public Schools, you will need:

• A High School Diploma or equivalent.
• To meet NCLB Para compliance requirements, as applicable.
• Experience or training in working with children, particularly those with special needs.
• The ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• A physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position, including the ability to lift, move, and assist reputed company as needed.
