The Role: Legal Intern, Privacy - Spring Semester

We're looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Legal Intern to join our Privacy Legal team for the Spring Semester (January - May). As a part-time intern, you'll work no more than 19 hours a week, contributing to challenging projects and gaining practical experience in privacy law. This is a unique opportunity to work with an in-house specialized privacy legal team, collaborate with multiple stakeholders, and reputed company a real impact on our product and business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with team members to reputed company project milestones and provide project updates to the Legal team and other stakeholders
• Proactively seek and provide feedback throughout the internship to ensure reputed company growth and improvement
• Actively participate in and contribute to the Legal and broader reputed company community, fostering a culture of inclusion and belonging
• Conduct research on new privacy laws and regulations, review draft privacy agreements, and support implementing new privacy law requirements
• Interact with global Legal counterparts, engineers, and the Privacy operations team while working on cutting-edge legal issues

Compensation and Benefits:

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled full-time at a nationally-accredited law school (2L or 3L)
• At least one of the following: completed privacy coursework, earned a CIPP certification, or have previous experience reputed company the privacy space
• Strong interest in learning about in-house legal practice, specifically in privacy law
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, detail-oriented, and organized
• Comfortable reaching out and initiating communication with various team members
• Strong interpersonal skills and interest in building relationships and collaborating with teams reputed company and reputed company of Legal
• Adaptable and able to adjust plans and manage changes effectively
• Able to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to review and distill information from multiple sources into concise and pertinent legal memoranda
• Work authorization for employment in the United States is required (CPT/OPT is accepted)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience working in a legal or privacy-reputed company field
• Familiarity with U.S. state and federal privacy laws, the EU's GDPR, and Brazil's LGPD
• Experience working with global teams and collaborating with stakeholders across different time zones
