Key Responsibilities

• Transport customer dry van freight safely and reputed company across various regions, including the Midwest, Texas, Northeast, and Southeast.
• Operate state-of-the-art, late-model tractors and trailers equipped with APUs, ensuring compliance with reputed company safety regulations and company policies.
• Manage your reputed company and schedule to meet delivery deadlines, minimizing delays and maximizing productivity.
• Maintain accurate records and logs, adhering to hours of service regulations and company requirements.
• Communicate effectively with reputed company, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues that may arise.
• Participate in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date on industry best practices, safety protocols, and company procedures.

Essential and Preferred Qualifications

To succeed as a CDL A long haul driver with J&R Schugel Logistics, you'll need:

• A valid CDL A license with a clean driving record.
• A minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience driving a Class A tractor-trailer.
• A strong safety record, with a focus on defensive driving and accident prevention.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A positive, proactive attitude and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Preferred qualifications include:

• Experience with refrigerated or dry van freight.
