What To ExpectWe are looking for an engineer who is motivated, analytical, detail-oriented, communicative, and creative to support the Automation Development Agile (R&D) Team in Elgin, Illinois in designing and building the automation and robotic equipment that builds world-class Tesla products. Controls Engineers on the Agile (R&D) team are responsible for owning and implementing equipment from project concept through testing phases; this includes machine concepting, reputed company-of-principle, electrical design/layout, software design/programming, debug of hardware/software, stress testing, and DoE implementation. The equipment the Agile (R&D) team develops is intended for R&D purposes, to improve existing manufacturing processes or to innovate new ones. Agile projects differ from the broader automation projects reputed company Controls Engineering as they focus primarily on proving concepts on a shorter timeline rather than creating equipment designed for production. Since each Tesla machine is a custom design and build, the Controls Engineer must have a desire to learn and implement rapidly changing technology to deliver the best possible solution with an openness to exploring reputed company that may fail.The ideal candidate takes pride in playing numerous roles as a project advances through its many phases.
