About the Role

We're seeking an exceptional Senior Manager, Data Science, to join reputed company on an immediate basis. This is a remote opportunity that requires a strong and diverse skillset in data science, machine learning, and team leadership. As a Senior Manager, you'll be responsible for managing a team of domain experts in NLP, LLM, Timeseries Forecasting, and recommendation systems, driving the development and deployment of AI/ML models and systems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and grow a team of domain experts in NLP, LLM, Timeseries Forecasting, and recommendation systems in respective business domains in retail & e-commerce.
• Drive execution of developing models and systems that solve specific business outcomes by training with massive amounts of Walmart data utilizing open-reputed company or in-house tools.
• Communicate, collaborate, and build relationships with clients and peer teams to facilitate cross-functional projects and drive business results.
• Stay up-to-date on ongoing research and development activities in the team and identify opportunities to reputed company new technologies and techniques.
• Work with data scientists to design, architect, and build AI/ML/DL models and model systems that drive business outcomes.
• Work with machine learning engineers to deploy, operate, and optimize scalable solutions that meet business needs.

What You'll Bring

• Experience in NLP, LLM, Timeseries, and Traditional ML techniques, with a strong understanding of their applications in retail & e-commerce.
• Experience in managing a mid-size internal team of data scientists and MLE's, with a proven track record of driving team success.
• Experience leading and completing cross-functional projects, with a strong ability to collaborate with stakeholders across the organization.
• Strong organizational skills, including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines.
• Strong influencing and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate reputed company technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Detail and results-oriented, with a sense of urgency and a focus on delivering business outcomes.

Essential and Preferred Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you'll need to meet one of the following minimum qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or reputed company field and 5 years' experience in an analytics reputed company field.
• Masters degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or reputed company field and 3 years' experience in an analytics reputed company field.
• 7 years' experience in an analytics or reputed company field.

Preferred qualifications include:

• Data science, machine learning, optimization models, PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Information Technology, Operations Research, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Econometrics.
• Successful completion of one or more assessments in Python, Spark, reputed company, or R.
• Supervisory experience, with a proven track record of leading high-performing teams.
• Using open reputed company frameworks (for example, scikit learn, tensorflow, torch).
• Knowledge of accessibility best practices and experience implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards.

Salary Range

The annual salary range for this position is $132,000.00-$264,000.00 (Reston, VA) or $110,000.00-$220,000.00 (Bentonville, AR), depending reputed company.
