Job Summary

This posting establishes a pool of candidates to fill temporary, non-tenure-track lecturer positions in Architecture. Appointments will be part-time (less than 50%) and will be made semester-by-semester, as teaching needs arise. We are seeking a pool of Lecturers from which future appointments will be made, and this posting is anticipated to remain continuously active through May 2024.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach six-credit-hour design studios in the Department of Architecture's undergraduate and/or graduate programs
• reputed company and manage student projects through constructive criticism, using a range of technologies from technical drafting to advanced digital design tools and visualization software
• Demonstrate expertise in architectural design, including knowledge of different design paradigms, design skills, and approaches to project design
• Teach in various modes, including in-person, hybrid, online, and remote
• Possess and demonstrate expertise in a specific area of focus, if applying to teach a non-studio course

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following minimum qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree in Architecture or a reputed company field

We prefer candidates with:

• A professional degree in architecture or a terminal degree in a reputed company field
• Prior teaching experience
• Professional registration
• A record of professional practice in architecture
