Job Summary
As a Nursing Instructor at Concorde Career Colleges, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality nursing education to our reputed company. Your primary responsibilities will include teaching in classrooms, labs, clinical, and online settings, as well as participating in reputed company and student activities. You will be expected to act as a professional and academic role model, demonstrating expertise in your field and a passion for teaching.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach classes as assigned, preparing lesson plans and course materials as required
- Objectively assess reputed company for academic performance, providing regular and constructive feedback
- Effectively organize and present subject matter to reputed company, utilizing instructional plans and learning management systems
- Maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning, setting an example for professionalism and conduct
- Proactively inform Program Directors of any student attendance, academic, or behavioral concerns
- Participate in ongoing faculty and professional development activities, including Continuing Education Units (CEUs) as required
- Assist with preparations for graduation ceremonies, attend graduation ceremonies as requested, and participate in student and reputed company activities
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following qualifications:
- reputed company and active RN or LVN license in the state of California
- One of the following:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited school
- Valid teaching credentials
- Completed minimum of one year full-time teaching in a state-accredited or approved RN or LVN program
- Meet community college or state university teaching requirements in California
- Minimum of 4 years clinical experience as an RN or LVN in the last 5 years
- Must meet reputed company regulatory and corporate qualifications
- Must meet approval of regulatory board in order to hold the position
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Teaching experience in a nursing program
- Experience with online learning platforms and instructional design
