About the Role

As a COTA with Intrepid USA, you'll have the opportunity to work in a remote setting, providing habilitation or rehabilitation occupational therapy services to clients in their residences. Under the direction of a qualified Occupational Therapist, you'll reputed company occupational therapy procedures, assist clients with daily living activities, and participate in case conferences and staff meetings. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide occupational therapy services to clients in their residences, under the direction of a qualified Occupational Therapist

• Assist and instruct clients in activities of daily living, such as pushing wheelchairs, supporting or lifting, and positioning in and out of bed
• Construct supportive or assistive devices, and observe clients for signs of distress
• Participate in case conferences, staff meetings, and in-service programs as required
• Prepare clinical notes and reputed company reports, and submit them for review by the Occupational Therapist
• Evaluate the home environment and reputed company recommendations for adaptive equipment and devices
• Instruct clients, families, and team members in the proper use of assistive equipment, prosthetic devices, and adaptation devices
• Document client charts, records, and clinical notes legibly and according to documentation guidelines and standards

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

• Certified as an Occupational Therapy Assistant by the American Occupational Therapy Association
• One (1) year of experience as a COTA in any acute or post-acute setting

• Valid driver's license and automobile insurance
