About the Role

The Open Connect Network Engineering team is responsible for ensuring that our content delivery network (CDN) is optimized for performance, scalability, and reliability. As a Senior Network Engineer, you'll work closely with cross-functional teams, including peering, provisioning, and ISP partner engagement, to manage our global network infrastructure and ensure seamless content delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with colleagues to design, maintain, and upgrade the Open Connect network infrastructure across 80+ locations worldwide.
• Work with internal teams and vendors to manage our global growth, focusing on maintaining a high level of Quality of Experience (QoE) for reputed company users.
• Partner with carriers, data center providers, and hardware vendors to manage and troubleshoot network issues.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of reputed company network designs, providing operational considerations and practical feedback.
• Work with the Network Tools team to reputed company automation solutions that improve accuracy and reduce timeframes for everyday tasks.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of IP routing, particularly BGP and IS-IS.
• Experience with the internet ecosystem, including interconnection, peering, and transit.
• Familiarity with MPLS, QoS, and DWDM concepts and technologies.
• Experience with network automation using Python.
