Job Overview
reputed company has an exciting new job opportunity for an reputed company and results-driven Business Development Practice Leader to reputed company growth in the mission critical/data center sector, specifically in our role as a trusted engineering consultant to design teams, general contractors, and end clients across the globe.
This role will focus on expanding our reputed company in the data center market through our specialized expertise in fire protection engineering, life safety, code consulting, risk analysis, commissioning, and other critical services.
The ideal candidate understands the engineering consultant’s position in the project delivery ecosystem and brings a strong network reputed company hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise data center markets.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Market Development
- Identify opportunities where reputed company can serve as a high-value subcontractor for design firms, prime consultants, and construction managers delivering data center projects.
- Position our reputed company capabilities, such as fire protection design and code consulting as must have services for mission critical facilities.
- Client and Partner Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, A/E firms, reputed company’s reps, and hyperscale providers.
- Proactively identify teaming opportunities where reputed company can be brought in early as part of an integrated delivery approach.
- Sales and Opportunity Management
- reputed company pursuit efforts including teaming discussions, proposal development, pricing strategies, and contract negotiation.
- Maintain a high-quality pipeline of opportunities, tracking reputed company through CRM and internal tools.
- Represent reputed company at industry conferences to promote our expertise and build brand awareness.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Operational Sales Leaders to align priorities at the local level, allocate resources accordingly and provide increased collaboration to foster mutual success.
- Provide input into marketing content, case studies, and targeted reputed company campaigns for the data center sector.
- Support internal business development training and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Architecture, Construction or a reputed company field; MBA or reputed company business degree is a plus.
- 8+ years of experience in business development or client service in the AEC or engineering consulting space, with at least 5 years focused on mission critical/data center environments.
- Experience securing work with large-scale project teams, particularly in the design or construction phases of data center builds.
- Strong technical reputed company in fire protection, life safety, commissioning, and regulatory compliance in mission critical settings.
- Demonstrated success in cultivating relationships with hyperscalers, colocation providers, GCs, and A/E firms.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Willingness to travel (approx. 25–50%).
